Subtitled "A chronicle of the joy of life", "After the battle" contains 9 tracks recorded in 2009. Using electronics, metal, tapes, effects, sampled-voices and more, the French musician Christian RENOU created a highly complex and evolutive album, ranging from ambient electronic soundscapes to nearly industrial rhythms, from ritual ambiences to minimal Musique concrete parts,.... the most notable element in this release is maybe the huge use of metal, scratched or played, which give a nearly mystic atmosphere to the whole album. An excellent CD housed in a 7" size silk-screened cover with complete discography inside. Limited edition to 300 copies only !!! Total length: 61'48.
