Formed in 1984 by Corrado MANCINI, CIRCUS JOY is an Italian cult band with an unsettled line-up. For this 2010 full-length release, CIRCUS JOY features two former members of AIN SOPH - SPECTRE and ClauDEDI - as well as other well known musicians of the Roman underground scene. "Laetitia" displays the two faces of the band: sensual, sick love ballads on one side and crazy electric tracks on the other side. It's not only a sonic tribute to Pop-Art, as its cover clearly shows, or to the noise-psychedelic rock of THE VELVET UNDERGROUND - one of the most influential groups for CIRCUS JOY - but, above all, a tribute to the recent and tragic departure of their friend and poet/singer, Letizia.
