"A love so bright it shines a hole through my heart" is Jason TALBOT s debut solo CD, an active member of the Boston experimental sound community, perhaps best known as the "Turnable abuser/modifier" half of the STELZER/TALBOT duo. However TALBOT has a refreshing take on how to "perform" a turnable: in addition to modifying vinyl recordings, he also modifies the tonearm and needle with objects as diverse as balloons, sheet metal, and wood creating a diverse palette of sound. Add to this some manipulation of cassettes, minimal processing with effect pedals, and even a piano and the end result of his experimentation is a diverse yet cohesive collection of audio. An unique 21 minute-piece of brilliant evolutive cut-up noise. Housed in a clear jewel-case
