OHLON was born as a cooperative effort of Massimo MAGRINI/BAD SECTOR and ZAIRO/WHERE. "Sinkhole", the band’s second full-length album after "Veiovis", was composed using only original field-recordings recorded at the "Pozzo del Merro", the worlds deepest sinkhole –a depression in the land surface- located a few kilometers east of Rome. Using special microphones and sensing hardware, the recorded sounds were then treated in studio trough various effects and process. When possible, arbitrary musical structures were avoided in the final mix. The result is an extremely organic, almost "breathing" dark ambient journey. This is the sound of the earth’ depths. An excellent release for sure. Housed in a deluxe digifile with inner-sleeve. 10 tracks/Total length 41’06
