- Behind this unusual and little known project s name there is a new album of John Gore, the founder of Cohort Records - long time running label, which released Bad Sector "Survival Tools" for instance. Unlike the main John s project Kirchenkampf, dedicated to his peculiar attemps on synthetic ambient sounds, THE ORATORY OF DIVINE LOVE presents more varied and conceptual approach. "Purgatorio" is an unique hour-long track, inspired by very deep and emotional interpretation for personal spiritual experience of religious man. "Purgatorio" means the place where the souls of dead men are suffering for their sins, within the hope for subsequent arise to heaven. Thus, the album has strong psychological edge, it assembles the Choral music from the radio broadcasts, recorded in real time. This is fluent but heavy wall of sound rushing to the infinity, the multilayered reverberations reinforces all this liturgical strength.
