This is the reissue of a rare album originally released in 1986. Peter HOPE, singer in the English band THE BOX, CABARET VOLTAIRE collaborator, has recorded an album full of the most unique and strange sounds with the Jonathan S. PODMORE METHOD. This band consisted amongst others of Jono PODMORE who nowadays records with KUMO and collaborate with CAN's Irmin SCHMIDT, Alan FISH of HULA, and Charlie COLLINS of THE BOX and CLOCK DVA. Also included in this reissue is "The Kitchenette" 12". Lots of non-musical sound-sources were used on here, together with more conventional instruments such as bass, guitar, drums, sax, analogue electronics, etc. The result are experimental tracks reminding us of works from NURSE WITH WOUND, Andrew LILES, FOETUS, E.NEUBAUTEN, HULA, early CLOCK DVA, etc. with the up-front vocal experiments of Peter HOPE and his so distinctive voice. "Dry Hip Rotation" stays one of the most inexplicaly uncompromising and uncommercial records ever recorded. All material remastered.
