("Patria Granitica" is the second album from this great northern Portuguese band, two years after the sucessfull debut one, "Barbara Carmina", released on Michael MOYNIHAN’label STORM. Compared to this one, "Patria Granitica" is more rhythmic, more powerful due to the use of various percussions, but still contains the previous ingredients of the debut album: the very large variety of early traditional instruments, perfectly played and the great talent for compositions. It is a pagan journey into the world of stones of their historical homeland Calloecia and its gods, giving voice to the traditional heritage of granite warriors. A brilliant folk album.
