The tetralemma is a technology revealed by the Indian philosopher NÂGÂRJUNA ( second and third century A.D). Its aim is to free man from mental and ego. In opposition with the occidental dilemma (two propositions = duality), the tetralemma shows an evolution in four points: X exists (affirmation), X does not exist (negation), X exists and does not exist (both), X nor exists nor does not exists (neither). Through the non-duality, it establishes the vacuity of reality (replace X by nothing). To illustrate this purpose/subject-mater, the French one-man project VERSUS used electronics to create mostly long pieces of static Harsh noise (noisescapes) mixed with disturbing electronics and piercing high frequences. His sound can be describe as the improbable meeting between THE HATERS (for static harsh noise) and INCAPACITANTS (for the long harsh electronic manipulations only). So, if you enjoy the overloaded bass-frequences in noise (à la MACRONYMPHA), the fast-changing harsh noise (à la GOVERNMENT ALPHA, OUTERMOST, THIRD ORGAN,....) or the psychedelic noise (à la HAARE, for instance), forget it ! but if you're searching for a dry & harsh sound full of mid/high frequences, VERSUS is for you ! All material recorded in 2009, self-released in 2010. 5 tracks for a total length of 71 minutes.
